Balloons of CO2

I was at a meeting recently talking about marketing for Redshift Wireless, and our Cloud Controlled Air Conditioner Controller that helps people predominantly businesses and schools money on their heating and cooling. The person had seen the material around that showed the number of balloons of CO2 saved each year, and they asked a question that I did not know. The question was:

How many balloons of CO2 will people save per year using your product?

This should have been something that I could answer without hesitation. I now know the answer, but I need to say that there are a significant number of caveats. The savings depend on what consumption was before you put in our device, and what consumption is after you start using it. It depends on how often you accidentally leave the Air Conditioner on, your climatic zone, size of rooms and insulation. But when it all comes down to it, we feel confident in the following statement

Do we have some justification for this? Yes. Various Australian governments have made recommendations that certain actions would save up to $60 per year on heating, and $60 per year on cooling. With our technology, we can save even more than this.

Given the price of $0.25 / kWh, there are about 80 Black Balloons of CO2 for every $1 of electricity used, or saved.
