Buildings on the Web
If you look at today’s Sydney Morning Herald you may find an interesting article about Buildings on the Internet. Actually, this is only one in a series of articles over the last few days about how various Australian buildings are on the Internet, and manageable, either with or without a password. Earlier this week, the paper ran screen captures showing how the Sydney Google office is controllable over the Internet. This was later described on a blog, and in Wired. Today the story includes the North Shore Private Hospital.
The thing with placing buildings on the Internet is that it creates a direct point of access into your building. Redshift Wireless is different. With our technology, any devices connect from your building over the Internet, and connect to our server. The only way to control the device is by logging into our server. This is a lot easier to look after than thousands servers in thousands of buildings.
