Slow Mail from China
So, I have now learned my lesson. Whilst postage from China might be cheap, even with tracking, paying extra is often really worth it. A case in point is the delivery from a supplier of PCB’s in China. They offer a really good price, but this comes with a cost. Despite being shipped Air Mail, they have been in transit for about two weeks.
Part of this issue is that they are firstly shipped to Hong Kong before being mailed from there. This tends to add a few days to the delivery timeframes. But I suspect that some of the issue is also that this mail is classified as being of a low priority due to the price paid, and is therefore not always transported on the first available plane.
Next time I will get the expedited postage, particularly if I am waiting on the package.
